What would you consider the one gun most difficult to obtain for a Ruger collector??
Ruger No. 1 chambered in .357. The CHP special!

I've never thought of a Ruger as a collector piece. A Colt, S&W, Winchester is a collector piece.
Nice opinion. Don't be surprised if some folks don't agree with you...

A few months ago I ran across a OM 10 inch 357 at a gun shop I stop at quiet often. After some dickering a price was agreed upon. The next day I went with cash in hand to purchase. While filling out the necessary paper work I noticed him checking in a as new 327 GP100, box, papers and all, my holy grail! I had been looking for one at a an un-extortious price for several years. I had more than enough cash in hand. I left with my Holy Grail and cash.

Since this purchase Ruger has rereleased the 327 GP100 turning my Holy Grail into just a grail. It's no longer Holy

How about a fixed-sight, full-lug, 4" Stainless GP100 in .357 magnum...this configuration was never a production revolver.

I'm sure you already know this, but for those out there that don't, this was an actual Ruger production gun with a model number: KGPF-341. Not many were made. I have one and got scammed trying to buy a second one (different story for a different day. Lesson learned.). I've only ever heard of a few others in passing. Finding another is one of my Grails. I also might like one of the 10/22 50th anniversary design contest winners as another Grail. Well, two actually; one for each of my boys.

I have other Grails too and I'm sure I'll run across another Ruger Grail sometime. Good luck to everyone in their hunt for what you're after.

How about a 96 Ruger in 22 LR. I sure wished I bought one of these when I was younger!!! Sure do enjoy lever action rifles.

I am with you guys the XGI for me.

But I actually got my holy grail gun. I was after one for atleast 18 years before I found one, and it came straight from rugers inventory. The 12 gauge, All Weather stainless engraved red label, with gold inlays and all the briley chokes included, unfired new in box. ;)
I'm jealous.
