If it's a 2 digit it would be a 1999 model, that's when the 173 to 174 prefix happened. I don't see any collector value other than to a collector of those 2 digits. That being said value should be $450 to $500 depending on region.

Thats what I was thinking also the serial is 174-00002X

If the serial number were 170-000xx, it could be above-average in desirability.

Hmebuildr, In case you didn't pick up on it …. you don't have a true 2-digit serial number. As Firescout noted, the first serial number prefix was 170. After 99,999 were made, the S/N prefix was advanced to 172, then 173, and finally, 174 so your gun was the 300,02Xth GP-100 made in 1999 (production started in 1986).
