The story behind this old gun. I was with my father back in the 1950's when he bought this out of an auction in a barn in Vermont. After he retired, he did some work on it and got the flint to spark when pulling the trigger and he put it on the wall. I’ve had it ever since he passed away in 1988. These photos will show that the gun Can Not be shot. Anyone know anything about this gun and what it might be worth?

Nice selection of pics. I can't help you with value, but you might contact the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association (NMLRA.org). If nothing else, they may be able to put you in contact with someone who can help you ID the shotgun - which would help in establishing its' value. Dandy wall hanger.

I tried contacting the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association right after I read your post. I never heard back from them. They do not respond to email. Any other suggestions?
