I just acquired a stainless 7.5" Old Army in a red cardboard box with serial# 35XX. Yep, a 4 digit serial number that looks machine stamped instead of roll marked like the one on my blued Old Army of '96-'97 vintage.
According to the Ruger website it looks like this gun was manufactured in 1975.
Is there any unusual collector interest in low numbered Old Army revolvers?
I know Flat tops bring a premium, but I never heard of a higher desirability factor for the Old Army.
