Jumped in the Quarter Bore Pool.....

My little Ruger showed up yesterday, chambered in .257 Bob. I'm torn on mounting optics on but do have a lonely 2.5X8X36 sitting downstairs, first range trip will be on the irons and see what my tired old eyes say. With the price for new brass, I thought I'd just get some factory cartridges but they proved to be a bit tough to turn up in town, I did get my grubby mitts on a few boxes though. I will definitely load up on brass for the Roberts.......

Hope you enjoy .257 Roberts as much as I do. You can find some good ammo from Hornady online.

Thanks Y'all for the kind comments.....

Couldn’t help myself, I had the scope for over 2 years before breaking the cellophane. Have to see about a set of lower rings than the #6's.... It is set way back but when you throw it up at 2.5X it is perfect with both eyes open.

My Number One B is is in 257 Roberts. This rifle is an older old red pad gun from 1979. Once running, these Number One's in 257 Roberts rifles are unbeatable

Enjoy that good looking rifle! If or when you get around to handloading for it try Hodgdon Hybrid 100V, this powder seems to be made for this cartridge.

That's a mighty fine looking #1. I hope she works for you like mine (in 6.5x55 Swede) does for me. I recently acquired a Hawkeye in .257 Roberts and am currently working on several "possibles" for it.
Good Luck!
