All things being equal.....

All other things being equal, would you choose a1975 production 1B (3 screw trigger, Wilson barrel),or a 1995 production(2 screw trigger, Ruger barrel)?

I would get the 1995 one. I have a 90s production # 1 in 30-06. It is very accurate. I knoe several friends who have older # 1s. The older ones are not necessarily inaccurate but tend to be very finicky about what they like.

That's kind of what I'm thinking. Easier to swap a trigger, than a barrel.

Prior to Ruger making their own barrels you really didn’t know what you were getting, regardless of whether it was a Douglas or Wilson. Some were good to excellent, some weren’t.
