Was there ever a #2

I have several #1's, .22-250, .257 Roberts, .35 Whelen, and a #3 in .45-70. Was there ever a #2? If noy, why not?

There was never a factory No. 2. Why not? I guess itís hard to beat a No. 1.

Finally got a #1 in .45-70, and moved my #3 down the road. Still wondering if there was ever a model #2.

FWIW, I have heard #3's with #1 wood called the #2's. Sounds interesting, never seen one done.
