Join the club! . Call Ruger, they'll send you a replacement no charge. Then just fit it (may take some filing) and your good to go again..... But I know your pain.... I was in middle of test when one of mine broke a while back.

I guess I have been lucky. 14 or so new models and no broken transfer bar. Two blackhawks over 50 k and 1 over 75 k rounds.

I didn't even know you could break a transfer bar.

I've got to ask...how/why does a transfer bar break and what happens after it breaks?
I've got 5 SA Ruger's with 10K rounds through them combined and never had this happen to me.

I have seen some speculation that the hammer not being properly seated so that it places undue stress on the bottom of the transfer bar does it.
