It's a 9mm, 6.5" barrel pistol based om the PC Carbine. Check the Ruger site and try not to drool.

I won't qualify for the stimulus (I'm paid fairly well, as an Oracle/SQL Server/MySQL DBA), but I've been eyeing the 9mm PC Carbine and I'm considering jumping through all the hoops to get a CCW...

It's more like having your future self buy your gun for you via higher taxes to pay off a $2T stimulus package.

This current buying craziness is actually keeping me from helping the economy, assuming there is inventory that I am interested in. But with Michigan being on 3 week quarantine, I hesitate to make my normal gunbroker purchases as my FFL is 25 minutes away. I have a letter stating that I am critical and exempt from the shelter in place law, but itís hard to explain to the officer why I am driving away from work and home. Also, my FFL that I love doing business with is high risk. Heís a Vietnam vet with emphysema and he just finished chemo for throat cancer less than a month ago. So I will probably wait till some of the craziness dies down. I doubt what interests me are guns that are subject to the craziness anyway.

Good decision. Your FFL is definitely in the high risk catagory and he needs all the protection he can get. You are a good man.

I think I’ll wait for the buying spree to slow down, all the stimulus money is spent on toilet paper and rent, and the used guns all hit the market at once.

I'm giving my stimulus right back on tax day. Thanks, Uncle Sam!

As for purchases, I'm going to get into shotgun reloading. No way I can find factory 00 buckshot anywhere in the country now. Scored an 18" barrel for my old Mossberg so we can use it for home defense or, with my original barrel, hunting deer as usual.

But-but, I would be greatly relieved if I had another new single action

Yeah, I know how it works, Iíve been giving to the money pit for years. I was just kidding, when I want a gun I buy it, besides, at my age Iím in a selling mode so my wife wonít have to deal with it.

I like to show my wife pictures of guns that I didnít buy and remind her of all the money Iím saving !

I agree. I just did my taxes for this year and I had to write a substantial check on top of the exorbitant amount they already withheld. Then I get to read a thread about using taxpayer funded money to purchase a new toy. At least have the decency not to brag about it please.

My daughter, son in law, and both of her teenage boys are all currently unemployed as a result of the virus.

I'm gonna have other priorities.

Hate the idea of this stimulus package. I donít like borrowing money against my kids and grandkids but it is what it is. But if a guy is gunna get a check, regardless of whether he needs it or not, isnít he supposed to spend it so the money goes on down the line?

To be clear, the way I understand the so called stimulus, is the money you receive will be paid back (or not) by YOU when you do next yearís taxes. When our government throws money away daily on the stupidest crap imaginable, Iím not about to worry about $1200 dollars one way or another. Spend it as you see fit so long as your kids can eat and you can pay your rent. My kids are grown, I owe nobody, so mine will just go into the bank so I can give it back next year. It will truly be MY money, until they want it back !
