17 vs 6

it was hard to slowdown and shoot the wrangler. after many years of 9mm 15 to 19 rounds just mindless shooting. it got to the point where I shoot 200rds and it was like work! the wrangler made it easy to sell my cz phantom & s&w m&p shield. when I go to the range now it is so nice! this is how it was 50yrs ago I killed many a soup can back than and so many targets all over the place. thanks ruger for my black wrangler. it brings back great times.

I feel where you are coming from. Those single actions force you to slow down and make every shot count. I have both, but the revolvers get shot a lot more.

This was something I appreciated too during the ammo shortage of 2015/2016. I had young kids still using their Savage Rascal single shot 22s. I bought myself the Dad version of that: the Savage Mark I single shot bolt action. (Still one of my favorite and most accurate 22s.)

We also enjoyed time with the Ruger Bearcat single action, plinking at tin cans with readily available .22 shorts.

It's hard to beat some relaxing time with a single action, some .22 shorts and a few tin cans.

So much agree. SA shooting is a different animal. I enjoy my semi autos and enjoy the change of pace with SA shooting. Pretty sweet to have choices and enjoy different experiences.

I bought a new single six last year. 6.5 inch barrel, SS and the Bisley grip. Since I took these pics, I have changed out the sights to Fiber Optics. I have also found that the CCI Clean ammo keeps it very clean. It is a very tight revolver and very accurate.

I agree, lately I've really enjoyed slowing down and shooting my Ruger SAs.

I started my LEO career carrying a revolver, department mandated semi auto for the last 25 years of my career. Now I seem to shoot my SA's more than anything else. I only have 2 semi's left, CZ75 and a High Standard Citation. I haven't shot the CZ or the HS this year. SA's are just relaxing.

No single action here. Would like a new model Blackhawk convertible in 357/9 mm. I have a GP100,when I go to the range I only shoot single action . The slower pace is relaxing .

My NV .357 is the smoothest Ruger factory action I have ever had the pleasure to shoot.
