I understand the frustration. Keep in mind the world is changing, and making things easier.

Let's take Frontierman's example finding a book on restoring hand carved antique decorative wood grips.

I wouldn't go to the library and walk around looking in the different sections for the book. I'd go to the search function of the library, look for restoring hand carved decorative grips and I'd find the book right away.

It's that simple here too. Even simpler is to use the New Posts link. It shows you all the new posts since you were last on the site. Then I scroll through them and look at the ones I'm interested in. If you click the little, red diamond to the left of the thread title, it takes you to the first post that you haven't read yet.

Heck, I don't care if there was a single subforum or ten thousand. I'd still find everything I need to find.

The Single Action forum is my favorite stop. I like the subject matter. I like the way it is separated from Double Action Forum. I like those too, but they are their own animal.

I suppose if a thread was specifically, about Ruger single action grips, it should be here. Particularly if it was interconnected with the size of frame, etc.

I like things classified specifically. I get annoyed when someone asks a non-Ruger lever action question on the Ruger lever action forum. This should be a Ruger Forum. There are plenty of others. lol.

In the end, the moderators do the work, they should decide where things go. I was one myself once upon a time. It's a time consuming and often thankless job.

I appreciate the effort at a well organized site. Thank you Iowegan for a well moderated site and a wealth of shared information.
