Finally!

I've been looking for a reasonably priced Single Six for quite a while.

Yesterday while running around I decided to stop at the largest pawn shop in the area.

They had a Single Six on the shelf in .32 H&R and I was thinking of buying it. Then I remembered I have a Single Seven in.327.

They also had a blued, 1981, Single Six with both cylinders. It was a little rough but I picked it up for $280 out the door.

Now the only thing I still really need/want is a revolver in .45 Colt. I'd really like a RedHawk.

Hello to a fellow East Texan !

A little rough ain’t gonna hurt the shooting aspects of a Ruger SS. Have fun burning up some ammo !

Born in Emory, raised in Edgewood here. Got family buried in both places.

I like the looks of guns that have been used, cherished, and finally let go to another "Forever Home." Nothing wrong with a hard-used Ruger; they can take it. That's a great price for a shootable Single Six. Enjoy!

(I've got a Single Seven in .327 Fed Mag, and love it.)

What a day! I couldn't have passed on the .32 H&R.

A good price on the SS. What fun that will be.

Congratulations on your find!

I love the original walnut grips. My single six was made in 1977 and I have a single six in .32 H & R magnum that was made in 1985. Both have the walnut grips.

Where's that pawn shop at? Would love the 32 you passed on ...

jeepnut711 will become famous soon enough
Great single six you found. It does have some character and should shoot very nicely. Good luck on getting the 45 Colt you want.

Congrats! I'm betting that single-six will be a nice shooting revolver.

You really came upon a good deal. Ruger revolvers here seem to bring a premium as far as I’ve found.
Walking into a good deal really makes the day seem all the more better !
Congrats on the new hardware, enjoy.
