I Finally Joined The Three Screw Club

I've owned a bunch of Ruger single action revolvers but I've never owned a three screw. No reason. I've been meaning to. I just never got around to it. In fact I mentioned that in another thread recently. That changed today. I stopped by my favorite LGS to kill off a few minutes and was perusing the used gun counter. Well, well, well. Looky there. A nice three screw. May I see that please?

6.5" barrel
357
Unconverted
Original box
Extra cylinder
Excellent finish

Overall condition is 90-95%. I did a serial number search and it was manufactured in 1968. I finally figured out the extra cylinder is 9mm. Cool!

Cleaned it. Shot it. Love it.

I can see where this is going. Better start making room for more of them.

Great addition!

I've been trying to stick to only buying stainless, however your new one is bending that thinking somewhat

That is awesome, the only Ruger 3 screw have ever seen around here was 20 yrs ago and I snapped it up. I would not pass up a quality piece that could inspect, if reasonably priced. Especially in centerfire that already have dies for. Congrats, looks perfect.

Bonk, Old pharts like me are dying off, making 3-screws more available. You won't be sorry with your purchase …. I can tell you that from first hand experience!!! Here's my OM 357/9mm Convertible Blackhawk, just like yours.

As said the four clicks, I love them. That one looks to be in excellent shape and am sure it will not be your last one or only one. Enjoy it.

Congrats on a great find. Now you’ll have to keep a tight grip on the old pocketbook because this could turn into an addiction.

Go big or go home. Welcome to the club. You done good!
I found one not long ago. And because I can't leave well enough alone I installed a Old Army grip frame with SBH hammer and then added a 357/44 cylinder to the whole mess.
