This. A collection of single action revolvers that doesn't include at least one 45 Colt is incomplete. Beautiful collection BTW. Excellent variety and quality. Very cool.

Looks like the .45 is not going to be an easy one to find. Which makes it more fun.

Rusbukt, I have two 4 5/8 OM BHs …. one is a 45 Convertible, the other is a 45 Colt, both in new condition. Not a nanner nanner moment, I'm just braggin' a little. 45 cals were only made for a few years so they are more scarce than 357s or 44 Mags.

Here's my 45 Convertible:

You are also missing a 30 Carb OM BH …. got one of those too:

I'd "nanner nanner", brag and rub it in if they where mine. Only found one on GB. Seller not being an FFL wrecks my chances of ever getting it shipped into California.

You just made me want one even more. Heck I was only going for a 9 1/2 single six as an addition.

*Shoot*, 30 Carb OMBHs were only available with 7 1/2" barrel and were made from 1968 to 1973. About 23,681 were made.

45 Colts were only made in 1971 to 1973 …. 23,031 made, mostly in 7 1/2" barrels but some were also made with 4 5/8" barrels.

They are available. But I don't know. I scratched them off the list a long time ago. Maybe if I had a M1 rifle?

Beautiful collection there. Another vote for a 45, of course. Don't forget one of the original Bearcats, by the way. Unique little Ruger SAs.

I'm not up to speed on all the technicalities of CA gun laws but why couldn't the seller ship it from an FFL on their end to an FLL on your end? Might be worth the extra $25.

I don't like giving legal advice on this forum, however the last time I checked, single-action revolvers were exempt from the California DOJ list so a simple FFL to FFL (as Bonk noted), should work.

Yes girl! Totally overlooked the Bearcat. I'm a bit intimidated by them though. Like the Single Six the Bearcats can become quite addictive. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd issue. .22 WMR. Alphabet guns. You start with one and you're never done.
