Minor Wrangler problem

I have two new Wranglers and really like how they handle and shoot, however my black one has a problem with the pin, that the hammer rides on, keeps moving out on the left side. All I have to do is work the action a number of times and it just slowly comes out about an 1/8 of an inch and if I keep working the action it keeps moving out. Is there a wire spring that sets in a grove of the pin and if so maybe mine is missing? Anyone having this problem? Only thing I've done is to change grips and unhook one end of the trigger return spring. Thanks in advance for any and all input. It's cold and damp here in NW Arkansas.

Sekiar, There are two grip frame screws, one on each side of the trigger guard. One of these screws is longer and is used to secure the hammer pivot pin. Try tightening both screws.

Wink Iowegan hit a home run!

I took your suggestion and checked the screws. Both were tight. So I backed the right one out a few turns and pushed the hammer pin as far in as possible and then tighten the screw and the problem was solved. Thanks for the fast solution.

Breif range report

It's 45 out and wind out of the north so I only shot about 30 rounds but did kill several clay birds. This bargain fun gun has a great trigger and hits where I aim it. At 80 yrs I do notice the target moving around a bit, but I hit more often than I miss. To me that's just fine. Go shoot!
