PC Carbine chassis model

I just received my new Ruger PC Carbine chassis model 19122, after checking the rife, I noticed that the muzzle end of the barrel is off center of the handguard. I understand barrel needs to set higher in the handguard to line up with the receiver . But, when you look at mine seems to nearer to the right side of the handguard. Anyone else with model have the same problem ? Thanks for any help or info.

I've seen carbines at shops with that same issue (I most remember seeing that at Bud's). Seems to me it's not uncommon. I wonder if you can't reset the handguard to sit more centered. Shims may even help.

My Midwest Industries rail sits centered on mine, so I haven't had to do any tweaking.

Barrel alignment

Agreed ! The barrel has less clearance on the left side. About a 0.036 larger gap on the right side. Nothing in the manual regarding hand-guard / barrel alignment. Will be calling CS in the morning.
