Mini 14 picatinny rail 196 series

Happy Holidays to all!!
I really need to get a picatinny rail on my Mini 14.
I have seen bucket loads of rails but I have no idea what will be a good bolt on rail. My rifle is stainless steel and would like to match. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Al

Welcome to the forum from Pennsylvania!!

You can also get a cool one in Black-Matte or stainless with a nifty RUGER logo on the ShopRuger.com company site. It is of course guaranteed to cost more than one on Cheaper Than Dirt.

Is the 196 series drilled and tapped for a rail like the 580 series'?

Astone, first of all, welcome to the forum from Central Virginia!
Consider this spot: https://www.gggaz.com/ruger-mini-30-...d-mini-14.html

If all you're interested in is mounting a scope, you can get Ruger rings from a number of places. They are designed for the two scope "scallops" on your 196.
