Great news. I love my 5.56 MPR. I think I'll spring for the American in compact however.

If you are not a reloader this would get real expensive to shoot in semi auto. You could buy the rifle for the Ammo cost of a few good days banging steel.

Now we need a 30-06 AR

Their is a 300 win mag, however its unobtainium. Here are two fine candidates.

I was thinking when I read this, wow another AR caliber , as if we need another. This is not really doing anything for me that I cannot already do with the expanse of AR's I already own, so its a pass for me.

But you are right the ammo is gonna be expensive. I just do not think that this caliber will take off in an already saturated AR caliber market, although I may be wrong.

Kinda interesting, i wont own one as it doesnt fit any need for me and i dont find it cool enough for a 'just cuz' purchase but its a neat chambering. IIRC, a .358 version of .450 Bushmaster

Its intended as a "straight wall case" rifle now permitted in formerly shotgun only hunting areas. The new Winchester round will give adequate power but without the recoil that the 45-70 and newer .458 rounds inflict.

Great news for the deer hunters in states that can’t use centerfire rifles that aren’t straight wall. I do think most of these states do allow the use of modern muzzleloaders. After checking out the ballistics of the .350, I think I’d rather have the muzzleloader.
