I use the Decelerator by Pachmayr but there are other choices at their site. The size of mine is small. They give you measurements to check to order the right size. You can get one right now for $11.98 at Amazon Prime.
Streetwalker, I noticed some "marking" on my shoulder about a week ago after shooting about 25 rounds through my PC carbine. It surely wasn't the recoil but I suspect at my age, my skin may be thinning. My mother's skin at 91 before she passed was like tissue paper and could be easily torn with just a slight bump against a table or chair.
When my mother died at 76 she had very thin skin. If she lightly scratched an inch, she would bleed. Then it wouldn’t heal, and would possibly get infected. Now my wife is starting to also develop thin skin at 62. Getting old is tough.
Yeah, looks like I whacked it - l removed the spacers, put the original recoil pad back on, & then a slip-on Limbsaver recoil pad. LOP is good, no more bruising, Dr. approved....
Well folks, I do have a medical condition that causes me to bruise VERY easily. I took my PCC to the range recently and had the marks to prove it. My PCC does have a bit of recoil and as much as I love it, if I do not find some kind of recoil pad it may become a safe queen. My Doc says I should NOT shoot it again unless I have something between me and the PCC
So, anybody got a recoil pad that fits and looks well and will diminish the felt recoil?
Yes, this is my first post on here. I was a member a gazillion years ago and my participation kinda went by the wayside.
yes, I read previous posts, that is why I asked for something specific. I know Limbsaver and Pachmayr make what I need, I just want to know what particular model others might have purchased.
I'd have to agree with you on that one. I've actually had one fastened to a 7mm Shehane long range gun melt down and literally fall apart. Replaced it with a Pachmeyr.
I've been using Pachmayr Decelerator pads for years - they work great and my oldest is close to 27 years old now.
