Ruger Security 9 - Help..

Im on the fence again, this time its the 4" Security 9 Im thinking of buying. Can anyone best describe the trigger to this gun I need to know how it feels compared to a factory Glock, Taurus G2 or a Canik tp9sf Elite if posible... whats it like with regard to overall travel length, smooth, hard is there a wall before breaking or mushy, how hard a wall does it have double strike ? Do you pull all the way back, also how žs the reset...short n crisp or long n slow ? Academy wont let you feel triggers so Im still looking around for a lgs that has one for exam.

I just rented it at the range the other weekend. It woud be my next purchase. I love the way it feels in my hands. Very comfortable. Not too bulky. I had no issues with the trigger. I was able to fire pretty quickly with it. Love the gun over all!!

I own one and like the trigger. It is the same hammer/trigger design approach as used on the two LCP II calibers. When ready to fire, the hammer is like 90% cocked. The trigger pull completes the cocking and release, making it consistent and fairly crisp. Oddly, the Security 9 is a lighter pull [to me] than both LCP II's. One thing I like to do is paint the front sights on the LCPII's and the tops of the hammers on those and the security 9 with white paint. (See photos at the embedded link below). You can watch the hammer drop down as the trigger breaks. Not everyone's cup of tea but I like it.

I really wish they'd make a Security 45. I really don't like the American, it just doesn't feel right in the hand. The Security feels better.
