Yeah, I really like the look of the Hogue sleeve, and I even have a Hogue grip on my SP 101 (a 9mm that I got in 1992). It's partly that there is a certain 'Cyberpunk' look that I would love to capture with the LC9, and the Pachmyr grips feel more street/hard boiled detective (all pachmyr grips tend to). The first sights I put on it were the HiViz Litewaves, but while they looked awesome, they were not very durable, the front sight was square and tended to snag, and they only really worked well in bright sunlight. I want to eventually do the slide weathered Cerakote, with a gold Tin Barrel.

I had an EC9 but I never carried it. I didn't really like the way it fit my hand but for under $200 I couldn't resist buying one and I liked that it had an external safety. I probably should've tried some Hogue grip sleeves or something but I ended up trading it in on something else I wanted much more.

It was an impulse purchase that I really didn't need and shouldn't have made.

I agree with mndoggie in his assumptions. I have the lc9s with a hogue sleeve on the grip. I had whittled the sleeve to allow for the button on the Crimson trace to fit properly, but ultimately removed the CT and put on truglo sights. This gun has 100s of rounds through it from commercial ammo to several hundred of my own reloads, 115g, 124g, lead and polymer coated bullets. It's a workhorse and runs flawlessly. This is the gun I trust my life to and I have 100% confidence in it. I don't think you can go wrong with the EC9 either as it's a clone of the lc9s.
Best of luck to you all....

Thanks much for all your posts. Interesting and helpful.

At this point, I have one comment and one question.

Comment: I've decided I want to add an LCP2 as a BUG.
Loaded with ARX, I suspect it may be just behind a 9 in terms of

Question: If you wanted a shoulder holster for your EC9 (or LC9)
for less than $100, which would it be?

I wear a pack where ever I go because I own no car, so I must carry what I need even downtown. (Of course, this town has only 4000 people, but some are violent.) So an OWB doesn't work so well with that waist belt. I also wear a vest year-round -- it gets cold here at night even in summer -- so it'll fit underneath.

I've got my eye on a Galco Classic Lite Shoulder System for $84.

But I'm open to suggestions.

Love my EC9S! I chose the all cerakote model in sand, but I must admit, didn't care for the sand colored front + rear sights. Little red nail polish from the wife + black touch up from my Harley fixed that. What a GREAT shooter!

Jarhead127, that sand color really looks nice. I considered a color, but I have to pinch pennies, so went with all black.

Update on the shoulder holster issue. Last night, two posts down, I said I was eying the Galco. That's changed now. I spent a lot of the afternoon reading and watching reviews of the Alien Gear Shape Shift Shoulder Holster. I even called their customer service with a few questions. It's more than I wanted to spend -- call it $134 -- but I'm going to do it anyway. That holster is clearly well designed with a LOT of features. Won't go into them here because there are a ton of reviews and videos about it. I'm impressed.
