PC 9 pistol coming?

I really like the PC9 chassis model that just came out. I’ve been going back and forth on getting a Charger and modding it with the Engineered Silence body, but wondering if I should wait to see if they make the PC9 in a pistol version. I’m looking for a fun range gun with minimal recoil. I don’t really want the full rifle version of the PC9, and instead of buying a stock charger and adding a pricey body upgrade, I’d like to simply buy something already done. Any solid rumors of the PC9 pistol coming this year?

It is handy enough for me in its current size.

That’s covered with the newest generation PCC..It has a removable stock and the pistol grip is swappable..SEE 3.33:

Here’s what it looks like with the stock removed below. If I had one of these I would remove the stock for in-home PD use:

Yeah, it’s nice that it’s a takedown, but the barrel is 6” longer than the charger barrel: 16” vs 10”. I’m just wanting it more compact like Charger.

This is a rifle firing a pistol caliber, based on a pistol design. You want it with a shorter barrel and no stock. So what you really want is a pistol with a 10" barrel?

Right...I’m wondering if they will release the PC9 chassis with a 16” barrel (pic) in a pistol format...

my understanding is that the stock & buffer tube are completely removable on the new chassis version PCC. basically turning the rifle into a 16" barrel pistol. the tube appears to be held on via a picatinny rail so a qd sling mount could easily go in its place. would make a handy little critter getter while cruising on an ATV or hiking. i may need another PCC!

...apparently there already are qd sling mounts on either side of the back on the new factory chassis PCC!

My wife and I got out bid on a Ruger PCC 40 cal. and I am going to look at another one next Tuesday.
*In the mean time I am going over to the Bullet Ranch in Pataskala Ohio and order a PCC9 to go with our SR9, 9E and SR9c. There seems to be many different offerings now. What does the tacti cool hand guard or shroud do? What is the benefit of the hand shroud and how do you like it on the Rugar Carbine?
*I like the older PCC's but can not get anyone to part with theirs. Still getting one someday I swear. Hope Tuesday goes well.

Ive recently been looking at AR9 form factor guns but Im also looking at more compact 9mm sub gun type pistols such as the CZ Scorpion EVO and the Stribog.

I like the smaller form factor of these guns without the AR-style buffer tube unnecessarily extending the size of the gun.
This would just be a fun gun for me, not for SD or HD.
I probably wont make this purchase until next year - Id love to see Ruger come out with a similar design as Id prefer to buy American.
