SR Series Discontinued

Looks like Ruger has given the entire SR series the axe. Not in the Ruger 2019 catalog and nowhere to be seen on their website.

Buy some spare parts while you can.

Yes, they are completely gone from the Ruger web site. I guess the American series is now Ruger's sole top line automatic pistol.

I expect the sales of the SR's had slipped to the point they weren't worth keeping in the product line. Too bad as I do like my SR9C which has always been 100% reliable.

The only SR models on the Ruger website is the SR1911 and the SR22 ...

I wouldn't put the SR1911 in the same category as the SR series.
The RAP is a much closer relative than the SR1911

I wasn't implying anything, just stating that the SR22 and SR1911 were still on their website.

I don't see them ever getting rid of the SR1911 ...

I hope this means I can find a good low closeout price on a SR45.

They had a good run (11 years). My favorite SR series pistol was the 9E, which was discontinued last year.

I own an American but feel like there is room for improvement with it. Makes me wonder what Ruger will be engineering next.

Not just the SR series ...

The standard LC9 (all versions) and LC380 no longer appear in the online catalog. There are only distributors specials.

I don't like the american line at all. I think they are big and ugly.

The SR9C has been a fantastic gun for me over the years. One of those guns that make a person a fanboy. I hope the he** they are not going to come out with some new model like the garbage that has come out lately.
What I am hoping for is a new compact based on the Ruger American. Tough, all steel chassis etc like the American, but less weight. A modular design. A really tough gun, no aluminum.
Give us something to be proud of Ruger. A gun made to last a lifetime. Which I am sure my SR9C will outlive me.

Build it Tough Ruger. Step up to the Plate.
