Anybody wanting stainless Bisley 22 SAs (me) had to jump before they were gone.

I know this will get me flamed but Ruger Automatic Pistols are the last thing I would think about buying. Their revolvers are fine but I have never cared for their automatics.

Perhaps then it didn't need to be said.

Its kinda like the off topic opinions of athletes, movie stars and the Kardashians... Who really cares?

Wait, you mean I could've gotten an automatic SR9 instead of the normal SEMI-automatic version that I have???

I guess you could wrap your M1 in garlands, but I prefer to use a GI style canvas sling

Long live the SR9.

I have always valued and admired Ruger guns, especially sidearms. Of course there were the single action winners all the way back to when the Blackhawk in 44 mag jumped the market on S&W and beat their 44 mag to the market... but a short while. Wow, those Blackhawks set my whole generation of young gunners to yearning for the big bore revolver. I have had a few of them. Later, I discovered the Mark II and still have it. Then the P-series. Ask Maasad Ayoob about the P-series he used as a cop. Accurate, reliable, and strong. I had a P-95 and liked it. Sold it cause it was too big for my hands. But I won't let the GP100 or the Redhawk go.

When I discovered the SR9c, I thought it was exactly what I needed in a EDC pistol. The negative crowd were upset with the features that played to the California/Illinois/Massachussets laws. On the SR none of the features bothered me. I have never had a problem with the gun...ever. I even shot it well in a steel match.

When I saw that the SR9 was gone... I was real sad. What the heck. Why? I wanted a full size SR and now I was going to be stuck with the American -- Which is not at all friendly with my hand. Nope... no American for me. Don't see it as an option. And, I didn't want to have to think about S&Ws...

Well, almost 8 months later, the SR9 is up for sale online all over. I just picked up a full size SR9 at about half the price I paid for the SR9c back in the Obama gun revival years. Much of my sadness is assuaged. The new SR9 has a super buttery trigger and is accurate and it fits my hand - just like the SR9c.

Is it gone? Is it back? I wonder if they will update it with less consideration for the liberal goofballs and reintroduce the SR series (striker fired) better suited to the current market. They would have the hammer option and a striker option nailed down.

Indeed. Long live the SR9.
