Yes it is!
Am tempted myself, even after buying this new SR9 for $300 a couple of months ago:

Buy some spare parts while you can.

Funny, it’s on the Ruger site today, but as distributor exclusives.

What are they or any maker to do? Send you legal notice?

I have the sr9, my 2nd favorite next to the p89.

just checked local lgs has sr9c for under 300, ingress I should grab one while they are easy to find, I already have a ton of mags. i think i paid 550 for my sr9 back in the day. tempted to get another sr9 simply because of the price, but i should apply that 300 towards the pcc instead.

I ended up impulse buying a SR9C online from sportsman’s warehouse for the $250 mentioned above. With free ship to store, no FFL fees I just couldn’t pass on it. My ccw is an EC9s but have wanted a double stack to carry as well. So this will definitely feel that need.

I think the SR series is a smooth efficient looking piece.

I am thinking of getting one. But the original post has me worried.
What parts do I need to stockpile if it is discontinued?
And do I have to clean strike, firing pin channel when cleaning the gun?
Are there any issues with the gun?

Rugers are built like tanks. I clean channel about every 5,000 rds, no issues yet.

I am reading sr9c won’t fire as firing pin meeds to be cleaned each time during cleaning? Also the gun requires tool to disassemble it for cleaning. And then ruger after discontinuing it generally stops supplying parts? And then the trigger is too light to be considered for self defense?

Not trying to be rude, just don't have the time for a longer answer.

But the only part of that post that will come true is eventually Ruger will stop servicing and having parts for discontinued guns.
