I have both Smith & Wesson double action revolvers & Ruger. Both brands have served me well no break downs. Generally the S&W have better trigger pulls. My single action Rugers are great. I have read problems on Rugers 7 shot GP100 .357’s. Also a few problems with the LC9’s and the LC9S etc. But S&W’s also have problems as well. I trust my S&W Model 66 no dash as much as I do my GP100’s. Any forum can have its ho hum boring times, nuff said!!!

This thread would have already been closed over on the kindergarten, (ooops, I mean Smith and Wesson) forum.

Years ago , Evil Princess and I decided on a .22 Sig Mosquito for her personal pistol.
Mistake, I know... But she was comfortable with the soft retraction of racking the slide.

I finally caved in on the purchase, even tho the early reports of FTF, & FTE... Stovepipes etc.

Well we had all of those. Till I slightly ramped the end of the Barrel. Much improved after shooting 400 rds. or so, more.

The sales employee of the gun shop originally had a negative approach to the idea of .22 as a defensive choice. I replied , " she would be better off shooting a .22 and hitting a perp. 5 times... Rather than missing the creep 3 times with a 9mm.

There is the story about a woman that defended herself from a Bear attack with a .22 pistol. She and her boyfriend were walking in the woods when suddenly a Bear came charging at them. The woman took out her little .22, took careful aim and shot her boyfriend in the knee, then she ran away figuring that she could always get another boyfriend.

Difference between a tank and everything else. You can load just about anything and it'll run. All it takes is a little periodic cleaning.
