Yes sir its possible Military Arms Channel tested it with a TK customs moonclips I believe and it worked perfectly. That is the reason why I was veered towards the 10mm Match champion.

Ya, I saw Hickok45 doing it and that's when I knew I had to have one.

I'm getting long in the tooth, so I don't hunt out West anymore.
.44 mag or heavy loads in my .45 will do for anything I'm likely to run into in the South East. Big Hogs are always possible, and they Smoke up good.
What is the difference between the above mentioned & a new model 45\45cap Blackhawk?
Thanls

The 454c SRH Toklat is “the one” I would pick from their factory line up. I keep holding out hope Ruger will surprise us with a .475 Linebaugh SRH, or better still, a 500 JRH (or analogy), but until then, the Toklat 454c is really the best of the fleet.

I agree, its the best looking SRH and i think most powerful too, but its not available here in CA.

I agree with rammerjammer and I own the 45LC/ACP Redhawk and like it. Such a sweet shooter. Just wish there were more grips available for it.

I own a bunch of revolvers, in the big bores, I have 3 in 44 mag and several in 45 colt, big ones and flat tops. I love the stainless 45 Colt with additional 45 acp cylinder for when I do not want to reload. That being said the new Ruger Redhawk with 45 Colt or 45 acp with moon clips is simply the most intriguing on the market. It will take the cheapo 45 acp or the hottest Ruger only 45 Colts, above 44 mag energy.

Also you mentioned Bass Pro, certainly not the best place for prices. Bass pro and Cabelas both run about 10% over Academy and all the online guns stores. You can always decline to accept any gun when it arrives at your FFL if anything is wrong, so no risk there. Actually Bass Pro has a price matching policy and I used it to buy a Weatherby once. They did not like it and even told me the price was not likely, so I made the manager call the local Academy and got it at the cheaper price. For the price match the competitor must actually have the exact gun in stock for sale to the public. When they called in my case, the guy at Academy said sure, we have 3 of them, come on down. Anyway, good luck.

It may not be a "big bore", but my S&W M28-2 6" makes a "big bang"!
