RA Ranch 7.62x39 action "break in"

Just picked up my new RAR in 7.62x39 from my local FFL. I've seen reports that the bolt is snug/rough out of the box but it's really snug chambering a round out of the 5 round mag it came with and a new mini-30 10 rounder. Any ideas on how to get it to smooth out other than just working the action? I'm thinking cleaning, lube, etc.

Just work the action a whole bunch, without a magazine in place. It’ll smooth out. Way easier than any other method.

I’d lube it up, park myself in front of the TV and work it. Yeah you could use lapping compound on the lugs and work the action back and forth, (not locking the bolt down) but there’s more clean up involved.
