You’re right and I do appreciate your input and knowledge. I think it’s safe to say from the measurements I’ve taken, and yours, this is a beefier action than the savage and more suitable to cases this size. Not bashing savage at all but it does appear marginal for this size case. The only place the Ruger isn’t bigger is the barrel shank size. They are the same at 1.125” with the Ruger having coarser threads. It must step up after the threads on the Ruger bc I get over 1.2” in front of the barrel nut.
