If you can find one pick up the 3 round magazine for the 450 Bushmaster Ruger Ranch Rifle. (Ruger part# 90633) The 450 has the same outside diameter as all 308 family cartridges so that magazine will work. The follower is more flat so it shouldn't have the extreme angle issues the rotary mags are causing. I've used the 450 mags in my 6.5 Creedmoor for two years and can fast cycle the bolt with no issue. only downside is one less shot but worth it to have a reliable magazine imho.

Sounds like folks have different generations of rotary magazines. The magazine in my rifle had a steel follower. Bullets coming out of the magazine would hit on the receiver. Ruger sent me a new magazine. The new mag had a synthetic follower. The lady did check my name on the computer to make sure I was not hitting them for a new working mag. It's a wonderment to me on the door buster price on the rifles how the magazines are so expensive. Call Ruger before altering the rifle. There has been threads given over to this topic on this forum.

Ruger has sent me a new clip that has a metal follower. My other clip has a lot plastic followed and the same problem exists. From what I can tell if I were to keep using these clips the feed ramp would need to be machines to let the shell enter the barrel and a much lower angle.
This gun should never have left the factory.

Spiff will become famous soon enough
Does it make it worth the wait? I'm pretty sure my 45 carbine has bigger groups if I do groups of 1. What was the range?

100 yards, off a table using my sweat shirt. Forgot the bag. The only 3 shots I fired.
