And you know this how??? I’ve searched and have found absolutely nothing to support this claim.

Personally I can’t see the firearms manufacturers doing anything like this.......unless required by law.

I think it would be beneficial to have a database like this though. But until someone can link a site to corroborate it, it sounds more like Internet nonsense than truth.

This is NOT true.

Ruger used to include fired cases with their handguns such they could be cataloged by certain state and municipal jurisdictions which required it, however, two things happened which ceased this era: Ruger stopped shipping firearms to certain overly restrictive jurisdictions, and some of the “case required” jurisdictions changed policies to no longer require them. In most jurisdictions, us consumers ended up with the spent case, as it was not cataloged anywhere, and not required to be so.

Submission to this catalog of fired bullets and/or fired cases is not and has never been a Federal requirement.

Here’s a snippet from older Ruger owner’s manuals reflecting this:

Indeed, you are.

I’ve held a firearms manufacturers license, there’s no Federal requirement to test-fire and submit ballistic samples of any kind.

Do not see any brass residue in the bolt face so not fired except at factory. Looks like the bolt has been dropped. More than likely been in a rack and the morons been playing army with it. Get some cash back for being a well broken in floor model. Take a look at the mating surface, back of bolt lugs for galling and wear.

If you look at the public profile for KXRACER, you will see that user id was last active on June 22nd. It won't show an update if the person accesses the site and is not logged on. You don't have to post anything to have the last active updated. I checked against myself, and it accurately shows I was on the site.

So the original poster has been gone for a while.
