My First 10/22

Just picked this up the other day. It is raining here in AZ so probably no outdoor range. Picked up some cheap scope and mounted it. Going to try out the couple 10 rounders I got and the 25. Trying then both with mini mags and those federal match bulk ones. I probably should of got a bipod. Eh it’s going on the list

Congratulations, have fun. You will need much, much, mire ammo.

10-22s are great fun. In a pinch they make decent home defense forearms.

Regarding ammo I suggest taking advantage of "Black Friday" specials. This is the cheapest I've seen this ammo, 4 cents per round. It's Federal 38gr. My 10-22 likes it, it's good practice, plinking and hunting ammo.

Note the FREE shipping...and the $50 rebate, which (eventually) take the price down to 2.5 cents per round.

You wouldn't need to get more ammo for a while...a long while... You might need to get a couple of ammo cans, though.

You're gonna like that rifle.
My 1st 10-22 turned 51 years old this past May and it's still running strong. She has always LIKED those Federals in the bulk pack.

congrats! looks like you're set for the range... the great thing about the 10/22 receiver is that, at least in my experience, it will digest just about any .22LR ammo... of course, CCI minimags are great fun, but you should be able to have fun with just about any affordable rimfire you can find...

i 'shoot' for a $0.03/round price-point these days, but of course, have a good selection on hand

let's see some range/target pics!

Echoing what others are saying: gotta have a 10/22 in the collection. Mine was / is accurate right out of the box with nothing but the iron sights. Several thousand rounds through it and nary a hiccup.

Congrats! I have the same polymer stock with stainless action and barrel and I LOVE it!
My current is my second 10/22...having bought, and then, stupidly, sold the first one I purchased (1992-93), which had a wood stock with a stainless action / barrel.
They shoot great, are easy to use, and I've taught all three (3) of my kids how to shoot with it!
Enjoy!

10/22s are great guns because they are both reliable and easily customized for relatively cheap
