Problems sporter .22

I went to my local rqnge and shot .22 sporter.. It would shoot like a couple and eject them the next time it wouldnt eject and it would kick one out of magazine.. was using federal auto match...had a guy tell me to loosen screw on magazine 1/4 of a turn but its super tight and didnt want to bust it...would i be able to lightly bump it with an impact enough to loosen it

Try another magazine. Clean the rifle action thoroughly; removing the bolt and making sure the extractor is clean and free to move. The magazine should come apart with just a regular allen wrench. Watch the Ruger video about rewinding the spring for proper tension. Good luck.

Try a different brand of ammo. Some CCI mini mags.

Before taking it apart try flushing out with spray cleaner , spray and shake untill the innards run clean then let dry and spray lube with Rem-Oil .
The reason I say this is after taking mags apart I can never get them back to 100% reliability . Rewinding spring to the proper tension must not be one of my talent's.... I've watched the video and tried it a 100 times...just buy a new one if you lack the knack for spring winding .
If the spray clean and lube doesn't work I buy another magazine , I like 10 round factory .
