I've been wanting to put tech sights on my 10/22 for quite a bit but the only thing holding me back is that the rear most screw is stripped in my receiver. I was wondering, if I retapped it in my Grandfather's machine shop, what size would I need to tap and what screw would I need to use if I was installing tech sights?
I also stripped out a screw hole when installing my Nodak Spud peep/rail. When I took it off to put on a regular rail for a scope I found a rail from Tactical Innovations with oversized screws:
I don't know what size and shape screws come with the Tech Sights but I'm sure you can find some replacement screws that would fit through Tactical Innovations or maybe Brownells.
That's what came with the T.I. rail and it seems to be working just fine for me.
