This sounds exciting enough for me to get a new 10/22 soon.

Sounds like an idea for a Christmas gift for ourselves!!!!!!!!!!!

Haha that's funny!!!!

It's about time, figure the 10/22 has been in production for 50 years and they are finally offering some options. But I guess if it takes you 100 years to decide to make a 1911, 50 for options ain't bad.

How much you want to bet it does not come with the bolt release mod done to it:cool::cool::eek::cool::cool:

I wonder if they are making themselves or having one of the aftermarket companies make it for them.

It is a great add to thier store and I will be buying one.

I might buy it for less than $50 or if I decide to do a full custom 10/22.
I would expect compatibility with aftermarket extended mag release (or perhaps the other way around, I would expect aftermarket parts compatible with the stock trigger group would also be compatible with the trigger group).
On the other hand I am not sure that it is really necessary in my case as I don't use the 10/22 for competitive shooting and so far have not any complaints about the trigger of accuracy.

Will new 10/22s come with this standard
Not at this time but I can see it being standard in some models at a later date. Not all applications warrant such a trigger so to utilize it across the model line wouldn't be the best idea.

Wonderful sarcasm. Guess all those other dozens and dozens of 1911's weren't worth having, even the ones Ruger produced frames for for other firearm manufacturers. ;)
Ohhh, no bolt release mod! A whole 5 minutes with a Dremel.

Some are never happy.

I do not think that Ruger will ever offer an auto bolt release in the 10/22. Remember, they have to design for the lowest common denominator customer, who isn't too bright. The fact is that with an auto bolt release any bump to the bolt handle or bolt (say from a cleaning tool) will trip the bolt to slam forward - maybe on a finger, maybe on a chambered round. Having to deliberately unlock the bolt is a useful safety feature for a beginning shooter. As the manufacturer, who has to care about liability, I'd do the same thing if I were Ruger.

Continuing to complain about the bolt release is a denial of reality.

The new trigger group from Ruger looks a lot like the one in my Target/stainless Bull Barrel, with laminate stock, that I bought seven years ago. Mine doesn't have the BX logo or extended msg release, however. I don't have any idea of the internal comparisons.

I had the MRI today but the report takes 24-48 hours to get to the Dr. Didn't experience any pain and didn't notice anything until I took of the Walker's headset. I was next to a fellow shooting a 12 ga a couple weeks ago and no problem. I think I may have sinus drainage into the ears. Sure feel full and buzzing. New muffs on order and will get plugs too.

To each his own and it depends on each person's experience. I feel that I can swap trigger assys without much trouble and give the receiver a good cleaning while it's apart. A local gun shop installed the fiber optic sights, bore sighted it and adjusted the take down mechanism for $10. The sights are dead on. I know my limitations.

Not yet. Bad time of year to need help or be sick, everyone is ready to ditch work and party. I had the MRI yesterday after my wife searched for and found a facility with an earlier opening. That cut several days out of the process and I will find out Tuesday afternoon what's causing the hearing loss.

I placed my trigger order last night at 12:15 AM and noticed that there are no shipping charges on orders over $50. My order confirmation showed a $12 shipping charge so I called Ruger this morning. Excellent customer service and no shipping charge.
