A lot of the normal replacement options, like the ones from Tech Sights or Nodak Spud, are too close to what is on there now so there would be no real benefit.
If you want/need to adjust your sights on a regular basis, with repeatability, you should upgrade to Tech-Sights or Nodak. The original design called for these, but Ruger's penny-pinchers decided to use the Mini-14 sight instead.
But if you don't, you can spend the money on some other upgrade.
Decided I don't mind the mini-14 sights... I had one years ago, and consider them workable.
I decided to spend the money on a trigger upgrade instead. I have a Hornet spit-fire on the way
