Does anyone have the 10/22 Classic V and how do you like it ? I saw one the other day and I really liked the way it looked. I'm thinking of getting myself an early Christmas present. Thanks, Jim
I love the stock style. Have the Classic I simply because of the stock. Not big on stainless and having the Classic I and another of the same styled stocks that'll go towards a build, I didn't go with this one even though I had a tough of input on it's final outcome. If the stock is comfortable for you, go for it.
I bought one and it was not the 1022 I originally (that was sold). Anyway, I took it home and could not believe how even my wife thought it was pretty. I put a silver Simmons scope on it and did not like it. Took that off and put a black Nikon 3x9 Prostaff Rimfire and it looked great. I took it to the range and the rifle was remarkably accurate at 50 yards and good at 100.
The stock trigger sucked so I installed a Powers Custom Trigger kit and that made
an improvement in tightening up the shot groups.
There is nothing special about this rifle except for the different stock but for a little bit of extra money you can have a very nice looking gun instead of a butt ugly carbine (although my butt ugly carbine is my favorite squirrel rifle).
I'm not sure if I like the feel of the Classic V but it might be because I'm used to the feel of my 1022 Standard Carbine and 7722.
