ok so first off i hate tacical 10/22 so the only choice was woodgrain, that siad i like the sporter stock but wont pay rugers price so i cut mine down, reshapped it just a bit stripped sanded and restained the stock hung a pod on it and stuck a stock swivel on the end.

it has a ershaw bbl with a old bird cage for a thread protector, the bbl has been nitrade coated its got a masen stock extender for the proper lop for me. now it just needs a good scope.

on another forum someone suggested i styled it after my rem 700 i take that as a complement as i think my 700 is gorgeous
this is how it used to look next to my 700

im with ya on that one. its a hold over from the original carbine bbl with iron sights, its a see thru mount. i want one super close to the bbl not sure what to get though just to get it back in use i almost wanna get a barska plinkster but i wanna put some thing worth it to and my brain says nothing that cheap can be really good.

Look at a tactical solutions picatinny 10/22 rail ( it heavier duity than the supplied ruger piece).

Warne low quick disconect rings

Nikon rimfire scope. I am running a 3-9x40 with the Bullet Drop Compensator reticle.

This is the setup I run on my 10/22 other than the rail. My Kidd reciever has the rail built on. When you attach the rings to the rail make sure you press them all the way forward before tighting them down. Then when you remove and re install the scope you just push it forward before tighting the rings and the scope will return to zero.
