I would like to duplicate a reload of these, claim is low flash. Looking at the crimp my guess is that creates a complete burn. Wonder what they use for powder?

What is the specs on velocity. The WC bullets look like DEWC. As to low flash powders they probably have a proprietary blend so you may have trouble matching characteristics.

850 fps but the barrel length wasn't specified.

From BB web site:

Quote:
This load is flash suppressed, so firing it in the dark wont blind you. We use flash suppressed powder in our defensive ammo in the loadings whenever possible
In looking at the Spec the 868 FPS is out of a 2" BBL so doubt you will get there with powders available to reloaders and maintain standard pressure loads. I would try 4.5-5.1 gr of Unique under a 148 gr WC and don't expect low flash. Chrony the load and let us know how you make out.

Will do, thanks Terry. I think I can duplicate that crimp. I'll shoot these out of a 357 when I get them chrono'd to be safe.

I shot 5 of these (Buffalo Bore factory rounds) yesterday using a 6" GP-100 and they all clocked at just over 1000 fps. They produced lots of black smoke with each shot.
