Used brass value

Greets,

I received a buyers surprise with a tumbler.

There were 20 R.P, 5 Nosler, and 5 WW, fired 300 WIN MAG, belted cases nestled in the bowl. Some decapped and tumbled, 14 of the R.P are stored in what appears to be the plastic carrier from boxed ammo.

I have no experience with this type of brass, what might the value be? If any?

It comes down to it's intrinsic value, it's only worth what someone else will pay. If you don't reload that caliber it's better recycled ...

I looked up on Midsouth for once fired they are charging 50 cents a round. Since yours is of unknown usage scrapping is probable best.

Put it on gunbroker and make sure your shipping and sellers fees are covered and put it as a true auction and it will sell. Are you wanting to get rid of it or just curious? Other option is to look on the auction sites and see what others are asking for it. Keep in mind that itís a mixed lot of odd quantities.

That’s pretty much my thoughts too. I wouldn’t buy anything used in a belted magnum, and I don’t know many that would.....short case life. I’d toss em.

Many thanks.

I would not buy used .357 brass.
Therefore, my thoughts were scrap as well. Thanks for confirming.

SafetyJoe will become famous soon enough
The common belted magnums like 300 win mag sell in the mewe.com reloading groups for 30 cents each. After facebook banned selling reloading brass everyone moved over to the mewe groups. Mewe is very similar to facebook except they don't have any restrictions on selling guns, ammo or reloading components and tools and it's free to join mewe.
If you don't want to scrap them or ship them to someone you could always post a free ad on your local armslist.com site. It's similar to craigslist except it's for gun related stuff. Offer to sell them for $10. That way you'll get 50 times more than the scrap value.

I'd throw it in the trash.
