First range visit with the new Vaquero

Ran down to the range in between rain storms this afternoon, and ran a box of ammo through my Vaquero for the first time since I bought it. Once I figured out how much front sight to pull up, it shot dead on. Im obviously very pleased with the accuracy, and the fun factor was through the roof. Cant wait for better weather to get in some more range time!

No matter what good, bad, or other wise Range Time is Time well Spent.
Would like to see some Targets.

We need details! Caliber, bullet weight, target distance and more. Pictures are even better. It all helps those who didn't get to pull a trigger today. Please feed our addiction to the smell of burnt powder.

Always good to hear about a enjoyable range trip. Now show us that smoke-wagon.

It’s in .45 Colt, 4 5/8 barrel, stainless. I was using cowboy rounds, 200 gr. and was shooting at 8” steel plates off hand at 75’.

Very cool. So, which single action revolver are you going to get next? The way I see it you only have two choices.

1. Try to resist/deny/ignore S.A.R.A. (Single Action Revolver Addiction) and be miserable.

or

2. Surrender to S.A.R.A. and enjoy life.

Choose wisely Grasshopper.

I just came in from the wood's across the street. It's the first time I fired my two matching Ruger Blackhawk flattop's 4 5\8 barrel length. blued, all steel 44 spl.
I had Hornady critical defense 165 gr ftx. Fire's at 900 ft per sec. Shoot's very well.
No function problem's what so ever, trigger is pretty good for stock. I hit what I was aiming at. Lot's of dry firing with snap cap's. Moore than happy with the performance.
I put in a order for two beautiful holster's from El Paso Saddlery. It's all coming together now!

I ordered a holster and gunbelt made by Desantis. They’re very nice and well made. I also ordered a pair of Ultra Ivory traditional grips from Eagle. Not a fan of the ones I currently have on it.
