Braces Holster for Bond Arms Derringer

I really enjoy my Bond Arms Cowboy Defender. Down right fun to shoot and certainly would not want to stare one down.

Been looking for a unique way to cary it as a back up gun, or just as a primary for a short local excursion. NO that is not an invitation to debate me on is 2 shots enough. My EDC 357 SP101 2.4" overrides that discussion.

Lately I have come across braces that have derringer holsters in them. Some left hand, right or both. This is one of the nicer ones... 1866 Floral Carved Leather Suspenders with Derringer Holster(s) [OTP-CWS-FTDS] : Old West Gun Leather, Western Boots, Period Authentic Apparel, Western Decor | OldTradingPost.com

Wondered if anyone has any experience with them. I probably need to venture over to some cowboy shooting forums and events to find some 1st hand experience, but I bet someone here has some ideas.

I love my Bond but my Kahr CM40 is lighter , cost less and holds 5+1 and very accurate for a bug gun .

I get it, I have a CW45. Just looking if any one out here has a set of braces with a derringer holster.

Wonder if one can mount a shotgun while wearing them with a Bond Arms in it.

I'd never heard suspenders called braces before but, it is neat way to carry a derringer. I have a Bond Arms "Bond Girl Mini" .357 mag derringer but I think I'd look a bit silly wearing those lol. They would look good for a SASS outfit IMO.

I have a set of suspenders with a holster to fit the smaller American Derringer.
The Bond would be impractically large.
The AD pushes the envelope as it is.

Thank you all for your replies. I may treat myself to a pair for Christmas.

DPris, with your AD in the suspenders / braces holster can you mount a rifle or shotgun without it being in the way, or is the holster on the other side so it is a non-issue?

Mine's a Classic Old West product, holster on the left side.
With a loose coat or jacket I suppose it'd be moderately concealable with the AD, but the Bond would not be very practical. Just too big.

The idea works best with smaller derringers.

Here is my 2 holsters . I made both holsters . The one for the 4.25" barrels which I carried my 3" 410 in it for snake on my farm . The other one is for 3" barrels for the SASS/CAS matches . The one on suspender get in the way of shooting your rifle .

I modified this holster to pocket carry my 410 with spare ammo .

The older terms galluses or braces are correct if uncommon in usage anymore.
