I picked up a used Canik TP9SF Elite One Series over the weekend. The Elite is a smaller TP9, more like a Glock 19 size. It comes with black rear sight and a red fiber optic front. The One Series is a budget version, it doesn't have all the extras of other packages and just one magazine. I got it for $250 OTD. It's like new, almost no evidence it was ever shot.
I've had a TP9SA and it was a pretty good shooter. I like the more compact size of the Elite.
I probably won't get to go to a range until next week but I have high expectations for it. I still haven't gotten to the range with my P94 so, a good range day is overdue.
Any other Canik owners here?
My first gun was a TP9V2, that thing took a beating and never skipped a beat. Ive been looking at the one series to replace it. Canik’s are solid guns for the money. Definitely a good buy
I have a Canik TP9FSx bought it about a year ago. It has become my favorite range gun. I put a Vortex Venom red dot in it and love it. The only modification to the gun was to put an Apex flat faced trigger in it. the trigger eliminated 95% of the pretravel and made the reset even shorter than it was originally. It has one of the best striker fired triggers that I have shot.
Probably have 1000 rounds through it now and it has functioned 100%. Would not hesitate to buy another one.
TP9 sf elite owner here also. Traded off my HK P30 for the TP9 and haven't looked back yet. Trigger is way ahead of the teutonic lead slinger, and frankly.....the TP9 just shoots better for me. It fits my hand better.
First range trip and I only put 241 rounds downrange with it. Zero malfunctions. No complaints save my reloads are set up for an old pistol that I no longer own, and they could be loaded better for the TP9. They were deadly accurate, small one hole groups from the old pistols, but neither of the last 2 pistols like the load very well. The is NOT a gun gripe, exactly the opposite.
I am exceedingly happy with my TP9, and found my leather carry holster works perfectly for the TP9 even though is was made for the P30.
I currently have a FMK 9c1 G2 which has performed fine (804 trigger). I was thinking about getting another but lately I've been looking at the Canik Elite like yours. Approx. same size and price, does anyone have both the FMK and the Canik? The FMK feels real good in my hands. I also have a Taurus 709 Slim and a Beretta 92FS, but I like the mid-size FMK and would probably like the Canik as well.
I have a TP9SF and a C-100. They are great shooters. The TP9SF is the best polymer framed gun i have ever shot. I still remember the 1st time i shot it. Like is was yesterday.
I've been looking at Caniks for about 2 weeks now and have noticed they have gone from plentiful to can hardly find one online. I'll have to wait until the panic is over before I decide which one I want to get.
