S.E. VA - Checkin' In

After admiring from afar, I finally picked up my first Ruger. Had only a couple of Brownings 'til now. I doubt it will be my last. I tend to lean more toward functional and practical rather than just pretty (but don't tell my wife that, + she's perty & so is the Ruger) and Ruger fits the bill. Have enjoyed the SP-101 sice I picked it up a couple of months ago. Are there any off-the-shelf holsters made for a 3" barrel SP?

Welcome.
As for holsters, I know i've seen some member pics of fine ones. Perhaps a request in the revolver forum may help. Other than that, there is always don hume leather.

I have a SP101 also. After looking around for holsters I made my own with $1.25 worth of leather from Tandy Corp. It is not finished in the picture. I smoothed the edges and polished it with brown shoe polish. Looks and works great. Also is a good conversation piece.

Welcome! I spent a couple of years in the "Dismal Swamp" and had a great time hunting with a license from NC and Virginia.
