Kickboxer is on a distinguished road

Hello. Looks like a very good forum.
I recently acquired a new Ruger #1 in 458 Lott, story for another time... It became my favorite rifle, overnight. I have 3 30-06 (Voere Titan II, Browning BAR, WinMod70 "customized"), 1 243 BAR, 1 7mmMag Browning Stalker, 1 7mmSTW WinMod70 Laredo, 1 Remington ETRONX 220 Swift. While each rifle has its own advantages, the #1/.458 is the most complete package I have ever had my hands on, at least for hunting. So far, I have found nothing to dislike about it. Two whitetails taken so far and am taking it hog hunting in Texas in Mar and Jun/Jul. Averages 3/4in groups at 100yd. Only fired one 3rnd group at 200, so far, but it was 1.1in. I have no complaints...

This is not to say I'm not familiar with Ruger's other fine offerings. I had a 10/22 for awhile, have enjoyed shooting others' Red Label O/U which I consider comparable to my Beretta Onyx and I plan on getting a Mini-14 when my son is old enough.

I'm more of a casual shooter and occasional bird hunter, not a collector.
I love the great strength of the SP Rugers.....some of the finest custom snubbies I ever saw were built on the SP platfrom....if I was into snubguns I would have one. Welcome and good shooting new member ChrisD...MACHINISTgunner.
