Thanks everyone for the welcome. I added a new icon to my signature. Found an old 22lr auto pistol in my dads dresser while moving him to a nursing home. Don't think the nursing home wants an almost blind resident to have an auto pistol in his room. Hopefully the board will not crucify me for calling it a Mark I as Iowegan tells me its actually a 1961 vintage "Standard". Have not found a "Standard" icon and Mark I is pretty close.

Triggers actually not bad as is except a little heavy pull weight.

This is my first Ruger as I come from a sporting handgun background with Colt Python, S&W 29 and Beretta 92. All fairly large frames. Also did a lot of 12 gauge shooting with trap in my younger years. Not as much since moving to the city.

Welcome to the forum.
Been there, done that WAY TOO MANY TIMES. Here's a tip that sounds weird but works really well. Go in your shower or bathtub and tape off the drain. Close the door or pull the curtain INSIDE the tub. If anything flies out it'll hit the curtain and fall on the floor.......usually a light colored floor which makes your tiny part easy to find. IT WORKS.
