If you want to spend a good time at the range go to Ben Avery Range off of I-17 and Carefree Hwy. They are closed this week until Thursday do to the Virus.

Shooter's World is also close. It's on 89th Ave and Cactus.

What kind of shooting do you enjoy? I may be able to steer you in the right direction for matches.
Hey AZShooter1, thanks for the welcome to Surprise! We like it a lot here, moved down from CO last May. Made it through the summer. Yes I've been to Ben Avery about 4 times so far. Great place. Also went to Shooters World a couple of times. A friend also took me out to a spot in the desert and have shot some there. I made up a set of steel targets, hope to take those out tomorrow in fact. Just got the American Rimfire 22 lr rifle, so I was looking for some cleaning pics or videos for the initial cleanup. Got what I needed. Bought a Ruger Mark IV target last fall, that was my first gun at the age of 65. Wanted to learn to shoot economically with a good gun. Took the basic safety marksmanship class at Ben Avery through Guns Plus. Now on to a rifle. Went with 22 lr for economy and low recoil to learn proper technique. Haven't even thought about matches, still learning to shoot straight! Hopefully will be able to buy ammo before to long. thanks again, stay safe and stay healthy!
