Yesterday,I bought a new Ruger Vaquero. Was on the spot.

My 45 Colts: Uberti 1873 Cattleman,45 Colt Ruger BH,and soon-to-be here Vaquero.
44 mags: RedHawk,Winchester 94AE "Trapper".
45-70: An NEF HandiRifle, and an original 1884 Springfield Trapdoor.
And assorted others.
Hope to go hunting this year.I'll just have to wait and see.
Thank you.

Hello to All,
Thank you.
See many are from the mid-West.
That's good.
I wasn't born here. Was transplanted in the mid 50's,from Missouri.
Don't care if ya call me a "hillbilly".
Several people has invited us to move to Arizona.Met some nice people in Tombstone.
Made our 3rd or 4th trip.Remembered the 1st time,was in the late 50's.
Have some people looking for us a home and employment. We both like it around Tucson area.
Would like to go ghost town hunting. And the usual, prospecting.
It will be nice to go to the range.Been too long.So many things got in the way.
Had 12 week course at college for electrician.Compressing about 1 year.
Some of this was "old hat".Been in electronics for 40 years, with 18-20 years of TV repair.
We were the guinea pigs for this course.Graduated May 3,2007.This was our re-training.
Sorta funny: HAD to take computer training.Did learn something, even after being in computers for over 22 years.Build and troubleshoot them.
Been with guns for some 40 years.Took a correspondence course for gunsmith.Certificate,no FFL.
Reloading since the early 70's.
The RUGERS !
My first 44 mag, was the SBH.Smoothed it out.It was accurate ! Still kicking my self for selling it.Was great at 100 yards.
The next one, was a RedHawk. This one took pressures that went way beyond of what would be considered "normal". If my math is correct, was very close to the operating levels of the 454 Casull. Was shooting 320gr JDJ's. It did hold together. Was stolen about 1995-1996.Not recovered.Heard it is now in the hands of gangs, around Modesto, where I live.
After that, bought a BP Colt Dragoon copy for deer hunting.Didn't get to go hunting.
Sometime later, bought a SRH,44 mag.Grips were too big.Traded it in for a new RH,which I still have.Rarely shoot it.My 44 mag loads from a 7.5",240gr,at 1,685 FPS.Fired these from the Winchester.No pressure problems, no sticky extractions.
Seems like, when I got bit by the 45 Colt bug, those cowboy guns sure ain't wimps ! Before I bought my NMBH,chronographed various loads from my Uberti. Some loads going to over 900 FPS.
This was from a 4 3/4" barrel. No problems with these loads.Fired these last June.
Did some with 2F American Pioneer Powder,2400,Unique, and 2F/3F BP. Nice loads. But, those 40gr of BP with either a 250gr or a 255gr,will let you know, those BP loads have power.
Guess I'm done boring you half to death.
You guys have a good day !

Hello to All,
Thank you again.
When we returned to Cali, seems like they (in Sac)want to turn this state into a socialist country.I-80,I-40 and other major interstates,
you have "Ag Check Stations". You're asked where you are comming from.I haven't seen one yet in Nevada,or Arizona. In these 2 states,I've felt freer than here.
When we got on Mitchell Road, off Hwy 99,told my G/F, that I'll have to get used to Modesto all over again.
One guy on GrayBeard Outdoors, said it:"You can't hardly go anywhere,
without paying first." Yes, you can't hardly go anywhere, without paying to park.
(Camping along the North Yuba River, that's supposed to be maintained by the USDA,is subcontracted to a company.Yes, they can issue violations parking.Yet, this is being paid for, by our tax money. It's all over here.
Did find a way into Yosemite N.P.No pay to get in. Used a forestry road at Cherry Lake.A few yards past the dam, and you're in.
Had my Uberti 45.Didn't tell the ranger !! Was very likeable guy I might add.)
Was a PM to me.He was from Oklahoma. Was shocked at the home prices.
I can't afford any property,much less a home here.I think it's too artificially high.
Billboards advertizing "In the low $300,000's.So affordable.".IF it is, then they can pay for me living there.
But,yes, to call it "Mexifornia",yeah. We're just crawling with those
"south-of-the-border" critters.
Been reading about border incidents at ranchrescue.com.A lot is dated now.Still, what has happened is scary.Don't know how long it will be,before a full blown war will start.
Our fearless pencil pushers in DC, are too P.C.Like with Muslims, they are afraid of "offending" others, while us,non-P.C.'s are threatened with being prosecuted. This same basic P.C. stuff is all over.I just don't look for the situation to improve anytime soon.
"Press 1 for English". A few years ago, English was voted as "state law".Like these other idiot laws,it's not being enforced.
I do have some good Mexican mechanic friends. They too, are not very happy with the swarm that's comming in.They do believe that others should have to stand in line, like they did.English, yes they've learned. We've worked together for several years. Some were a joy to work with.Made work more enjoyable.A couple of them, would serenade
with Mexican songs.Got good voices.
Well, got to get some more done today.New stove comming in.
Will see you all later.
