Blued Front Sight Blades

I have several blued Blackhawks with the permanent front sights. I have seen a few threads on the forum that talk about milling the blade down to the base and then milling a slot to accept the pined blades from the stainless guns.
Would anyone have info on who does this work and if you have had it done was it satisfactory?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

I want to use a different blade profile and have different heights for bullets outside the normal weight range.

Thanks

Try reaching Fermin at www.fermincgarza.com if you haven’t already. He probably could help or point you in the right direction.

I machined the front blades off of my BH and SBH and then machined the base for a dovetail, then I installed fiber optic sights front and back, my eyes need the help.

Thanks for the replies and much appreciated. I will try to locate a smith to accomplish the task. There are quite a few folks that make blades to replace the pined in ones on the SS pistols and I like the blued factory base. By having the mill work done I can have an interchangeable blade and it will look factory on a blued pistol.

Thanks again!
