SP101 Crown Repair

My Sp101 has some damage to the crown. Or, more precise, to a couple of the lands. The damage is at least 1/8 of an inch deep. Can the crown be recessed enough to fix this? Difficult to take pics with my "stuff".

I bought it used. It's a 1989 year model, .38 Special. Fantastic shape, except for the crown. Maybe someone tried to pry out a squib?

Is it affecting accuracy? If not, I’d just shoot it. If it just bothers you (understandable) I’d just replace the barrel.

Well, the barrel doesn't need replacing. Shoots great. Fantastic. Looks can be very deceiving.

weaselfire will become famous soon enough
Talk to your gunsmith. Easy enough to recrown for looks, you already know it's not affecting accuracy.

Me thinks I'll go by the philosophy "if it isn't broke, don't fix it". If I don't look at the crown then it won't bother me.
